Accountant / Bookkeeper – Coraopolis, PA

$18.00 to $22.00 hourly to start

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team in Coraopolis, PA. This on-site position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to our financial operations while supporting the administrative needs of our organization. The ideal candidate will excel in maintaining precise financial records, processing payroll, and providing reliable office support. This is a temporary-to-hire role, with the potential for a permanent position based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Process payroll efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of related tax filings.
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure financial accuracy.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for management review.
• Provide general administrative support, including filing, data entry, and responding to financial inquiries.
• Uphold confidentiality and ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and tax regulations.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in accounting or bookkeeping, ideally within a small to medium-sized business setting.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.
• Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Solid communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Compensation and Benefits:

This temporary-to-hire position offers a competitive hourly wage of $18.00 to $22.00, based on experience and qualifications. Upon successful completion of the temporary period, the role may transition to a permanent position with additional benefits, to be discussed at the time of hire.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Coraopolis, PA. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, providing a consistent and predictable routine. Candidates must be able to commute to our office daily.
