Under limited supervision, responsible for creating cyber-intelligence solutions to prevent internal or external attacks or attempts to infiltrate company email, data, e-commerce and web-based systems
Essential Functions About the Team:
We are looking for a highly motivated and aspiring Cyber Security Engineer to join our Information Security team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Information Technology, with a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles. Key responsibilities will include implementing and managing security solutions to safeguard our digital assets, while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Candidate should be well versed in network technologies & communication protocols, network access control and cyber security.
- Design and implement secure network and system configurations.
- Good Linux/Windows, scripting(shell, Python) skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to proactively take preventive measures to ensure our systems optimized
- Go-getter and interface with the architecture team on the design and implementation of advanced security solutions to enhance FedEx’s security posture
- Implements technologies deployed across application, network/perimeter, data, endpoint, identity & access, and mobility domains.
- Researches attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security and provides countermeasure recommendations.
- Provides information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information and systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities - Support the technologies and tools in Network Security area, and safeguard FedEx’s assets and data.
Minimum Education Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.
Minimum Experience - Four (4) years of experience in IT information security.
- Certifications such as CISS, CISSP, Network+, and Security+ are highly preferred.
Domicile Information This position is hybrid for candidates residing in Memphis, TN or within a 50-mile radius, with the expectation of being onsite multiple times a week. Other locations considered for remote work include Pittsburgh, Dallas, Miami, and Orlando.
Preferred Qualifications:
Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.
Pay: U.S. Pay Range: 7,094.23/month - 12,533.14/month
