We're seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to join our Fortune 500 consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturing team in Modesto, CA. This key leadership position will drive our plant's EHS excellence initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance in our flagship facility of 600+ employees.
Key Responsibilities• Develop and implement comprehensive EHS strategies and programs
• Provide strategic leadership for the EHS department, including personnel management and budgetary oversight
• Conduct accident investigations, root cause analyses, and compile detailed reports
• Offer technical expertise on regulatory compliance issues
• Establish and manage Safety Committees
• Design and execute effective EHS training programs
• Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a strong safety culture
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field
• 8+ years of EHS experience, with 4+ years in medium/large manufacturing environments
• 5+ years of supervisory/leadership experience in EHS roles
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant EHS regulations
• Proven track record in risk assessment and management
• Experience leading accident investigations and implementing corrective actions
• Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
