Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a Hadoop Developer for a Contract job with a client in Newark, DE(Hybrid) . The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with the Hadoop ecosystem and its tools, as well as proficiency in Spark and at least one programming language, such as Python or Scala.
Rate Range: $62/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Hadoop Developer job responsibilities include:
Developing integrated technical applications in the Hadoop data lake platform.
Designing and coding solutions from conceptualization to post-implementation support.
Developing reusable utilities and enhancing existing ones.
Collaborating with project managers and technical managers to meet business needs.
Performing design and code reviews to ensure efficiency and quality.
Driving data integration practices and ensuring consistency across projects.
Providing technical expertise in the development of medium-to-complex data products.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's and/or master’s degree in a relevant field.
7+ years in data warehousing and at least 3 years in big data (Cloudera).
Hands-on experience with Hadoop ecosystem and its tools, as well as proficiency in Spark and at least one programming language (Python/Scala).
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on collaboration and project success.
