Our client, a leader in the chemical industry, is seeking a Lead Project/Process Engineer to join their team. As a Lead Project/Process Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting various project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical thinking skills, excellent communication abilities, and a results-oriented mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Lead Project/Process Engineer

Location: Plaquemine, LA

Pay Range:

What's the Job?

• Manage large capital projects and troubleshoot complex processes.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with production engineers, supervisors, R&D, and maintenance.
• Lead the development and review of control strategies while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Provide leadership and technical support during project start-up and commissioning.
• Mentor or supervise junior engineers and manage resources effectively.

What's Needed?

• Degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical or Mechanical Engineering).
• Experience in engineering design of chemical plants, including hands-on troubleshooting experience.
• Strong understanding of different unit operations and project management concepts.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical issues to non-technical audiences.
• Organized and capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.
