Join the St. Louis Cardinals as a Manager on the Business Analytics team!

Job Summary:

This individual will help lead the team responsible for driving data-informed decision-making across the Cardinals organization. Their primary responsibility will be working cross functionally with our Marketing, Ticketing, Production & Corporate Partnership teams to drive revenue growth & optimization. This person will be responsible for developing dashboards, models, and statistical analysis to assist the Cardinals in all aspects of business decision making. This position will provide input for planning needs related to the effective use of analytics, addressing immediate concerns as well as those that are anticipated in the future.

Job Duties:

• Establish and measure departmental goals, KPI's, and project prioritization to support cross-functional projects focused on high-priority areas and long-term growth.
• Manage and mentor a team of analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Leverage established analytical skillset to uncover and effectively communicate impactful customer insight needs, including evaluation of ticket sales, marketing and promotional campaigns, corporate partnerships, market research, and various other business verticals.
• Ensure that the team is working with Data Visualization Tools to build dashboards for stakeholders across the organization, which allow us to understand performance of departments, progress against key initiatives, and provide insights that drive decision making from stakeholders.
• Support the creation of predictive models to improve ticket sales, optimize marketing campaigns, and enhance operations and guest experience.

Education/Experience Minimum:

• Proficiency with SQL
• Proficiency with data visualization / Business Intelligence software (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
• Familiarity with R or Python
• Familiarity with statistical modeling and implementation of modeling.
• BS or MS in Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify, establish, and continuously measure KPIs based on business priorities.
• Ability to explain technical data components to nontechnical users
• Ability to summarize and translate data or analytical results into actionable insights
• Experience working with large datasets housed in various locations
• 3+ years of experience in analytics/data analysis
• Passion for sports and/or baseball

Education/Experienced Preferred:

• Advanced SQL development skills and understanding of database technologies.
• Proficiency with R or Python
• Proficiency with statistical modeling and implementation of modeling.
• 3-5 years of experience in analytics/data analysis
• Experience managing a team of analysts, with proven success mentoring, guiding, developing, and growing a team.
• Leadership in planning and managing projects involving cross-functional stakeholders
