This role is responsible for the safe, ethical and efficient operation of the Imaging department, and ensures that there is adequate coverage of the department by qualified technical personnel. Acts as department liaison with the administration and radiologists. Under the direction of a radiologist, does a variety of technical work related to the taking and processing of x-ray films and other work relative to the department's scope of activities, or delegates these responsibilities and duties to subordinate personnel, when employed, and oversees their functions.

Required qualifications:

• Graduate of a program in radiologic technology approved by the Council on Medical Education of the American Association or equivalent education/experience or Equivalent of such education and training as determined by the Director of Radiology Services.
• National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire or National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire or National Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists upon hire or National Certification from Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board upon hire or California Diagnostic Radiologic Technology Certification upon hire or California Fluoroscopy Certificate/Permit upon hire or California Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification upon hire or California Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification upon hire or California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
• 10 or more years of experience as a working diagnostic technologist.
• 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
