Job Description

Plain Church (Bowling Green, OH) is prayerfully seeking God’s next Shepherd. Plain Church is a Bible-believing flock of believers who desire to grow in God’s grace. A demonstrated knowledge of Scripture, preaching ability, sound doctrine, and faithfulness to God’s Word are essential.

Qualifications

Meet the Biblical qualifications outlined in Titus 1, 1 Timothy 3, and 1 Peter 5.

Have a servant’s heart, be ready to lead, and lovingly shepherd His flock.

A strong desire to reach the lost with the message of the gospel and a thorough understanding of the grace of God.

A strong desire for upholding the truth of Scripture in a lost and fallen world.

Candidates must have a call from God to preach and teach His Word.

A degree in Theology is preferable, although not required.

Applicants should have 10-15 years pastoral experience.

Responsibilities

Provide spiritual leadership for the church through preaching, teaching, prayer, and pastoral care.

Lead by example: guiding the body of Christ with sound biblical preaching and teaching of the Word.

Teach the Word using an exegetical, biblically-based approach.
