Responsibilities

Act as a liaison between English and non-English speaking and/or hearing guests, staff and patients by providing interpreter services.

* Listen to, comprehend, and translate oral or written communications from English to another language and vice versa.

* Translate basic to intermediate communication.

* Comply with all privacy and confidentiality policies when communicating patient information.

* Develop translated forms and educational materials for non-English speaking and/or hearing populations.

* Assist in the orientation and onboarding of new members of the network language services team.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

* Certification specializing in Deaf Interpretation preferred.

* Interpreter preferred.

Education:

* High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
