Akpabio Peters Holds a B. Sc in Building from the prestigious Faculty of Environmental Design and Management, Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife. He has held various supervisory positions in Shelter Development Limited, one of the leading construction firms in Nigeria and has been involved in large scale infrastructure, building and civil engineering projects in the last 20 years. Mr Peters was responsible for leading the growth and strategic expansion of Bulwark Construction Limited in the last 15 years from a construction projects development entity to a full-scale Engineering, Construction and Procurement outfit with State-of-the-art Construction value-chain capabilities.
Prior to his present position as Founder and CEO of Bulwark Construction Limited, Peters held positions that led to the management and supervision of largescale projects across major real-estate markets in Nigeria. As part of his social commitments and contributions to Human Capital Development, Akpabio Peters for the last 20 years continues to provide Pastoral Care, Counselling and Leadership as Associate Pastor at “House on The Rock” (The Refuge), an International and leading Christian Faith Based Institution.
Mr Peters commitments include providing mentorship and guidance as a highly sorted after speaker at various Youth and Christian leadership fora across Nigeria. Mr Peters professional career and educational accomplishments testifies to his pedigree as an outstanding leader in all ramifications. Aside his membership of the Green Building Council (Nigeria Chapter) and Project Management Institute, Mr Peters also enjoys Reading, Travelling, Playing Golf and Socializing with the Youth.
Abel’s career spans over 20 years in Commercial, Retail, and Investment Banking as well as consulting across the MENA region and Nigeria’s Financial Services market in roles spanning Strategy, Private Equity, Project Advisory, Corporate Finance, Impact Investing and Leadership. Abel started his career handling treasury operations and funds transfer management with Fidelity Bank Plc with stints in Infrastructure, Commercial, Retail and Investment Banking at leading Financial Institutions Like Access Bank and FBNQuest Merchant Bank.
Abel holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree in management and is a Certified Global Investment Analyst and a leading IFC-EDGE Certified Expert in Nigeria’s Finance & Mortgage Sectors under the IFC World Bank’s Global Green Building Transformation Programme. Abel has a penchant for conceptualising strategies and driving initiatives towards the resolution of development challenges across sectors of the economy.
Abel has extensive hands-on, and execution driven experience in Trade, Tech-Innovation, ESG Practices, Sustainability, DEFI, Climate & Corporate Finance, Project & Transaction Advisory, Wealth Management, Public Private Partnerships, Infrastructure Value-Chain, Business Management and stakeholder engagements expertise with key multilateral partners and DFIs: AfDB, World Bank, AfD, European Investment Bank, Ministry of Finance, Centre for Affordable Housing Finance, and GIZ. Exceptional skills in Business development, project management, regional team management, and market analysis. Entrepreneurial outlook and committed to driving business growth, forging cross-sector collaborations, and championing sustainable practices for positive outcomes.
