Ready-Mix Concrete

Bulwark produces and delivers certifiable standard quality of Ready-Mix Concrete according to a set of engineered mix designs by combining a precise amount of gravel, sand, water, and cement by weight. All aggregates used are screened for reduction of impurities like dirt and clay. An admixture is also added to improve the working capacity of the concrete and/or increase the setting time of the concrete to the factor in the time required for the transit mixer to reach the site.
The performance of our concrete mix is improved via Admixtures to reduce water requirements, to bring air into the mixture, to improve surface durability.

Quality Concrete, Anytime

Bulwarks Ready-mixed concrete is used for construction projects where the construction site is not willing or unable to mix concrete on site. Usage of ready-mixed concrete means The product is delivered finished, on request, in the specific quantity required, in the specific mixing design required. 
Cement is saved and dust caused is reduced as ready-mix concrete makes use of bulk concrete instead of bags of cement. Cement saving will conserve energy and resources. It ensures less environmental pollution due to Less consumption. A more durable structure is obtained thus increasing the service life and saving the life cycle costs of buildings developed through Bulwark ready-mix. It reduces human errors since ready mix concrete has less dependency on human labour thereby reducing intensive labour. Small or large quantities of concrete as per the specification are delivered timely at the site. It does not require space for storing the raw materials at the site and it is fast since there is no dismantling or plant erection and no hiring of equipment. It reduces noise, air pollution and energy consumption.

Bulwarks Granite mining and production as part of its building materials solution involves the extraction and processing of granite stone. Granite is a type of igneous rock that is commonly used in construction and decoration. The process of granite mining involves the use of heavy machinery to extract large blocks of granite from the earth’s crust. These blocks are then transported to processing plants where they are cut into slabs and polished for use in construction projects such as countertops, flooring, and walls.

Mining Excellence, Crafting Beauty

Bulwark holds lease rights to a quarry, representing a total of over 30 million cubic meters (M3) of grey and ivory coloured Granite Rock. The Bulwark mining operations is located at Etsako east Edo State in Nigeria, under a long-term lease which is on 400,000 square metres of land, with a wall of rock of about 25 metres tall (reserves estimated at about 30 million M3 of Granite Rock, which will take c100 years to mine). The company aims to add two additional mining locations in Abuja and Ogun States of similar in size in 3-5 years. The quarry operations are not only strategically significant to Bulwarks construction business (supply of crushed aggregates/stones), but also positions the Company to meet the massive need for cut & polished (processed) granite in Nigeria, where currently most of the processed granite is imported.
