Abel’s career spans over 20 years in Commercial, Retail, and Investment Banking as well as consulting across the MENA region and Nigeria’s Financial Services market in roles spanning Strategy, Private Equity, Project Advisory, Corporate Finance, Impact Investing and Leadership. Abel started his career handling treasury operations and funds transfer management with Fidelity Bank Plc with stints in Infrastructure, Commercial, Retail and Investment Banking at leading Financial Institutions Like Access Bank and FBNQuest Merchant Bank.

Abel holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree in management and is a Certified Global Investment Analyst and a leading IFC-EDGE Certified Expert in Nigeria’s Finance & Mortgage Sectors under the IFC World Bank’s Global Green Building Transformation Programme. Abel has a penchant for conceptualising strategies and driving initiatives towards the resolution of development challenges across sectors of the economy.

Abel has extensive hands-on, and execution driven experience in Trade, Tech-Innovation, ESG Practices, Sustainability, DEFI, Climate & Corporate Finance, Project & Transaction Advisory, Wealth Management, Public Private Partnerships, Infrastructure Value-Chain, Business Management and stakeholder engagements expertise with key multilateral partners and DFIs: AfDB, World Bank, AfD, European Investment Bank, Ministry of Finance, Centre for Affordable Housing Finance, and GIZ.
